The Role

We’re looking for a seasoned Brand Strategist with a track record of success in brand architecture, positioning, and messaging. This role will have the responsibility of shaping the verbal identity of our client’s brands and also play a big part in brand naming, web content, and creative direction. The perfect strategist for our team understands the stark difference between strategy & planning and has the ability to execute both well.

  • At least 4 years working for a branding agency in a strategic or writing capacity
  • Experience working with B2B, Tech, Health, or CPG brands and can point to results
  • Keen understanding of brand strategy or consumer behavior/psychology
  • 5+ years of experience naming, positioning, and writing copy for series A funded startups or brands with annual revenue of over $1M
  • Have a documented, proven process and can walk through it in detail.
  • Understand the difference between strategy and planning and can do both well.
  • Experience in putting together a website content strategy that converts.
  • Studied marketing, advertising, psychology or just became an expert through the school of hard knocks– doesn’t really matter how you got here, so long as you can walk the talk

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in and lead discovery workshops to extract insights from clients that will shape the future of their brand’s messaging and creative direction.
  • Lead naming exercises products and companies write brand storylines, verbal identities for AtticSalt clients
  • Translating research and strategy into original ideas and copy that impact our clients’ business in a meaningful way
    • Writing copy for brand guides, websites, brochures, sales decks etc
  • Manage tasks 3-5 projects, timelines, and clients at once using Asana, Slack, Google Drive, and Dropbox
  • Assign, direct, and oversee content strategy & creation of AtticSalt content and work with our junior copywriter and design team to develop and implement:
    • Monthly and quarterly content calendars
    • Downloadable guides or checklists that will be added to our blog and distributed through email and social platforms
  • Effectively communicate strategy and ideas to team and clients
